About Donna

Donna works for Canine Partners, a charity that trains and provides assistance dogs for the disabled. She previously taught at primary school so brings a wealth of practical teaching skills to class. 19 years ago on training her puppy Lab collie cross, Mollie she realised just how wonderful teaching your dog can be. Donna went on to qualify her 4 household dogs up to gold standard in the Kennel Club Good Citizen Award scheme. She took up Heelwork to Music as well and qualified in level one progress awards run by Paws and Music Association with two of her dogs and level two with her Lakeland Terrier Pip. Pip and Donna were in the Crufts Activity display team for two years running where Pip had her official retirement in 2015 at age 12, although Pip still insists on attending training classes for short sessions at age 16 and half. Fred her young Lurcher is competing in Heelwork at Novice level and Intermediate level in Dressage.

Donna is always keen to explore new training ideas and concepts, and has developed a sound theoretical understanding to help her assess what will work and what will not.
